The New England Wind Symphony - Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at 3:00p.m. the 3rd annual “MERRIMACK HOLIDAY POPS” Concert will be presented at The Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, N.H. Highlights will include narrator Ms. Laura Knoy reciting “The Night Before Christmas”, a world premier by composer Jerry Ascione to celebrate the season and a special visit from the man from The North Pole to greet everyone and check his list! The Capitol Center Jazz Orchestra - Sunday, May 6th, 2012 at 4:00p.m. the CCJO will be presenting it’s fourth installment of its’ “Moment in Time” concert series as they perform a “Tribute to Louis Satchmo Armstrong”. Louis, the personification of the American Jazz art form, travelled the world bringing great joy and spirit wherever he went. His hits were such favorites as “When the Saints Go Marchin’ In”, “Mack the Knife”, “What a Wonderful World” and, of course, “Hello Dolly”. Our special guest for this concert will be trumpet Virtuoso MR. BYRON STRIPLING who played Louis in the Broadway show “Satchmo” and has been featured as the lead trumpet player with The Count Basie Orchestra as well as The Woody Herman Orchestra.
