The Clayton Poole Orchestras is a collection of musical groups made up of some of the finest professional musicians in the Northeast United States. Clayton Poole is the founder, musical director and conductor for all the groups and is proud to be celebrating 31 years of quality musical presentation.

Upcoming Highlights

Our 4th “Moment in Time” concert will be held on Sunday, May 6th at 4:00p.m. and will be a special “Tribute to Louis Satchmo Armstrong”. Our special guest for this concert will be trumpet virtuoso BYRON STRIPLING who played Louis in the Broadway show “Satchmo” and has been the featured lead trumpet player with The Count Basie Orchestra and the Woody Herman Orchestra.

Our Audiences

Audiences of all sizes and ages, in both public and private venues, enjoy everything from our 10 piece group that performs at receptions and special celebrations, to Big Band performances backing up well known artists, to large scale orchestras and symphonies performing, complete with soloists and vocalists, for thousands of audience members. Our audiences range from an intimate gathering of 100 to a huge celebration of 6,000.


Musical Tastes

The Clayton Poole Orchestras comprise ensembles to meet a variety of musical tastes. From the 35 piece New England Wind Symphony performing patriotic marches and world premier compositions, or the elegant sounds of The New England Society Orchestra featuring a big band with a string section component, to the hard swinging Clayton Poole Orchestra, everyone’s musical palate is satisfied. Audiences from those who want to snap their fingers and tap their toes to terrific jazz to those who wish to ride in a time machine and experience the patriotic fervor of John Philip Sousa or those who want to savor the experience of hearing a live big band recreate the music of Harry James, Glenn Miller and Count Basie are offered a full spectrum of exceptional, professional musical choices.
